Collapse (2009)

The paradox docs like this is that the medium is clearly the best way to present the message in a clear way to the general public, but it’s also the easiest way to manipulate the truth. There’s a lot of assertions he barely touches on that we’re supposed to just take as fact, when the whole thrust of the film is that we should be questioning what we’ve been told. Regardless, this film is completely riveting and terrifying. B+

Titanic II (2010)

I didn’t realize this was an Asylum release before I turned it on, but I should have. When you get beyond the initial hilarity that there’s a movie called Titanic 2, the boredom sinks in. F
